This tour will take you to the lush rainforest of the Sierra Escambray and the beautiful colonial city of Trinidad founded in 1514 and classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. The excursion begins by the pick up at your hotel for a transfer to the airport, and then a 1-hour helicopter (Russian Mi-8) flight will take you to Topes de Collantes where you will walk along the trails of the Natural Park up to the “El Javira” waterfall with time to swim in a natural pond. Lunch is served at the El Cubano restaurant.
You will then be taken to the picturesque Trinidad city with its cobbled streets, colonial squares, churches, monuments, colourful colonial buildings, and handicraft market, for a city tour. You will visit the “Palacio Cantero” (City Museum), and enjoy some leisure time in the Old Town (a.k.a. Trinidad Colonial). Then back to the airport for the helicopter flight back to Varadero and transfer to your hotel.
