The Municipal Museum is located in downtown Varadero. It displays archaeological artefacts of aboriginal people of the region, and also antique furniture, documents, maps, photographs, and objects related to the short history of the town.

The house itself dates back to 1921, the beautiful architecture of this 2-storey wooden building is reason enough for a visit. It was one of the first frame houses built on the Hicacos Peninsula. The design, with its elegant wrap-around porch, is typical of beach houses from that period.
