This natural wonder is located about 20 km (12 mi) west of Varadero. This big opening in the ground (cenote) is filled with fresh crystal-clear water. You can swim or snorkel to see the beautiful stalactites and stalagmites formations, fish, and blind shrimps. Scuba divers can also enjoy two galleries that reach a depth of 20 meters.

Cueva Saturno is a popular stop in many of the excursions offered from Varadero, but if you prefer to go by yourself and want to avoid the tour groups, it’s better then to go in the morning or late afternoon. There’s a snack bar on-site.

Admission: 5 USD
